Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai received senator Iwao Matsuda, vice chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Association and former Japanese Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy, in Hanoi on Dec. 9. The senator informed the Deputy PM of the outcome of a meeting regarding cooperation between Japan and Vietnam in technology transfer, which took place on December 9.
He affirmed that Japan is willing to assist Vietnam in the development of its fledgling cosmological sector.
Deputy PM Hai appreciated Japan ’s support for a bilateral cooperation programme on space science and technology development, adding that such a programme is necessary for Vietnam to effectively develop the requisite support technology.
